The Great Connection (TGC) was created to help nonprofits improve their communuity engagement. Nonprofits that become intimately involved in the life of their community can join other stakeholders in supporting transformation.

Topics Include:

• Nesting in target communities

• Engaging in systems thinking

• Partnering with change agents

• Recognizing the capacity of ordinary people to win

• Moving from “thoughting to thinking”

• Approach everything as a whole with essence and potential

Two Hour Teasers will be held quarterly beginning January 2024.  After each session, organizations can retain the consultant for additional organizational support.

Teasers are virtual. Subsequent sessions are in-person and will be centrally located throughout Maryland. Organizations can also request that sessions are held in their area in cities across the country .

The challenges that face communities throughout nation will take a collective effort. Churches and other nonprofit organizations cannot tackle the issues successfully in isolation. The Great Connection ensures that nonprofits are engaging in a collective effort to meet the needs of the community. It will require that organizations abandon their individual agendas so that the larger community benefits from the program.  There must be cross-sector coordination around a common agenda.
